陰陽
這個圖叫 太極。看起來是一黑一白, 其實是同一個圓的兩個運作面。圓裡面,黑的那一塊有一個白點, 白的那一塊有一個黑點——這不是裝飾,是核心教學:陰裡有陽,陽裡有陰;任何一方走到極處,會轉成另一方。
This is 太極 (Taiji). It looks like a black-white duality, but it's actually two operating faces of one circle. The black half has a white seed, the white half has a black seed — that's the teaching: yin contains yang, yang contains yin; push either to its extreme and it becomes the other.
一個常見的誤讀
把 陽 = 強、好、男性、主動,陰 = 弱、差、女性、被動。這是後人加上去的價值判斷, 原本不是這個意思。陽 不是「比陰好」,陰 也不是「比陽弱」——它們是一個系統運作時必有的兩個模式。
A frequent mistake: reading yang as strong / good / masculine / active, and yin as weak / bad / feminine / passive. That's a layered-on value judgment. Originally yang is not "better than" yin, and yin is not "weaker than" yang — they are the two modes any operating system must have.
正確的讀法
陽 = 外顯、擴張、發散、推動、看得見。
陰 = 內藏、收縮、凝聚、承接、看不見。
日常的例子幾乎都是這個結構:白天 / 晚上、吸氣 / 呼氣、清醒 / 入睡、工作 / 休息、 收入 / 支出、推出新功能 / 修舊錯、表態 / 觀察、行動 / 等待。 這些都不是「好與壞」,是同一個生命的兩個必要面。
Yang = outward, expanding, radiating, pushing, visible.
Yin = inward, contracting, gathering, receiving, unseen.
Daily examples follow this pattern almost universally: day / night, inhale / exhale, awake / asleep, work / rest, income / expense, ship / fix, state / observe, act / wait. None of these is "good vs bad" — they are necessary faces of one life.
This is yin-yang's most important — and most overlooked — point: yang at its extreme becomes yin; yin at its extreme becomes yang. Hexagram 1's top line "the soaring dragon regrets" is exactly this — pure yang at peak forces a reversal. Hexagram 2's top line "dragons fight in the wild" is the inverse — pure yin at extreme collides with pure yang.
In daily life: after sustained pushing (pure yang), the body forces rest (yin). After enough silence (yin), a stronger statement (yang) emerges. This conversion isn't failure — it's how the system works.
如何用陰陽讀任一情境
站在你的情境前,問自己三個問題:
- 表面的陽是什麼?(外顯的、可見的、推動中的)
- 背後的陰是什麼?(未說出的、未看見的、正在累積的)
- 現在是哪一面在主導?會不會快要轉化?
例:一個團隊「表面的陽」是大家都很積極、業績漂亮;「背後的陰」可能是疲憊累積、有人在默默準備離開。 只看陽面會誤判;同時讀兩面才通透。
Stand in front of your situation and ask three questions:
- What's the surface yang? (Visible, expressed, in motion.)
- What's the underlying yin? (Unsaid, unseen, accumulating.)
- Which face dominates right now? Is conversion approaching?
Example: a team's surface yang might be high energy and good metrics; the underlying yin might be accumulating exhaustion and someone quietly preparing to leave. Reading only the yang misjudges; reading both is what 通透 means.
進入卦爻:陽爻 / 陰爻
到了 64 卦的層面,每一卦由 6 條線組成。每條線只有兩種:
At the level of the 64 hexagrams, each consists of 6 lines. Each line has only two types:
不斷的實線。象徵 陽 的特質:剛健、推動、外顯。古代以「九」稱之。
An unbroken solid line. Marks the yang qualities: firm, driving, outward. Classically called "nine" (九).
中間斷開的線。象徵 陰 的特質:柔順、承接、內藏。古代以「六」稱之。
A line broken in the middle. Marks the yin qualities: yielding, receiving, inward. Classically called "six" (六).
知道這兩條線後,就可以讀任一卦了——例如 乾卦(六爻全陽)和坤卦(六爻全陰)就是純陽和純陰的兩極。
Knowing these two lines, you can read any hexagram — 乾 (all six lines yang) and坤 (all six lines yin) are the two pure poles.
進階:陰陽不是 50-50
常見另一個誤解:以為陰陽是「均衡 = 各佔一半」。其實《易經》的智慧不是要你「平衡 50-50」, 而是要你「在當下的情境中,找出該偏向哪一邊的程度」。創業早期或許 陽 多一些是對的, 穩定期或許 陰 多一些是對的。陰陽 是動態的、依時的,不是靜態的對稱。
Another common misconception: that yin-yang means a 50-50 balance. The Yijing's wisdom is not "balance them equally" but "find what tilt the moment calls for." Early in a venture, more yang may be right; in maturity, more yin may be right. Yin-yang is dynamic and time-bound, not static symmetry.
